Installing StageFit on Microsoft Windows 10 and 11

1) If you are not familiar with mobile or computer
technology, it's best to get a friend or younger family
member to install the app for you. They will find it easy to do,
as the app follows standard installation methods.

2) Click the link above.
A popup message will say the app is not commonly donwloaded
Click the ... (three dots) to the right of the message and select "Keep".
Adjacent to the Delete button, click the v (down arrow) and select "Keep Anyway".

3) When download has completed, click on "Open file".
If you see a warning message, click "More Info".
Click "Run Anyway" then click "Yes" to allow the installer to make changes.

4) The installer shows you where it intends to install. Click "Next".
In the next dialog, click "Install".
The installer will ask to create a menu shortcut. Click "Next", then click "Install".
Next the installer will ask for permission to install the main Goalpost app.

5) Click the button to install or repair the Microsoft Redistributable. These are Microsoft files the app requires.
Don't worry if this part of the installation is very slow. Wait patiently (some minutes) for it to finish.
When it offers a choice of "Restart" or "Close", click "Close"

6) Then click "Yes" to restart the computer. The restart will take longer than usual as the new Microsoft components are installed. Again, be patient.

7) After restart, select StageFit from the main menu
Note there is an issue with Windows 11 (not Windows 10) that the opening window might appear too wide. Drag the right-hand side margin with your mouse to size the window to your preference.

8) Click through the opening screens, then enter your email address.
Next screen, enter the security code sent to you. This is not a password. You don't have to remember it or write it down.
Next screen, enter your name or stage name.
Next screen, read the Terms and Conditions, then tick the box to accept, and click "Start the app".

9) You will be asked to select the microphone and speaker/headphones you wish to use for recording and playback of your script lines. Click "Continue".
Then click "Start".
